About The Project
On behalf of a private developer, Intermarket managed the development process for a large-scale retail project that needed to be built out in a tight timeframe to meet aggressive occupancy requirements.
Intermarket developed a detailed Critical Path Schedule for the project and:
- Negotiated all infrastructure and Site Plan Agreements for the creation of a new street and the widening of Kennedy Road
- Coordinated all consultants and obtained over 150 permits from three levels of government
- Negotiated the land purchase from the MTO and then realigned the Highway 401 ramps
- Managed the construction of the 480,000 sf shopping centre
This large-scale development was delivered on time, within budget; and has been extremely successful. This large-scale project has also been fully integrated into the neighborhood as a focal point for the entire community.
